A Carers UK conference on the green paper on the long-term future of care.

The Green Paper: a new dawn for a radically rethought care system that meets the needs of an ageing society? And that is also affordable within a shrinking workforce?  Can services be improved without breaking the bank?  How do we break the mould of social care to encompass the wider agenda and incorporate service provision across the board? 

This major conference brings together the key stakeholders to discuss the implications of the forthcoming green paper for policy makers, commissioners, service providers, carers and families. It is an essential opportunity for the broadening range of professionals who have an interest in care to discuss what the green paper will have to offer and to hear about good practice that is already occurring around the country.  The conference will also pay specific attention to the impact of these developments on carers.

The event is aimed at professionals and managers working in health, social care and housing in both the statutory, private and voluntary sectors plus other key decision makers responsible for policy making, commissioning or providing services, including local councillors.
